Panther won three consecutive matches on Memorial Weekend to reach BB Memorial T20 Finals. Panther disposed of Jinnah in the BB T20 quarters on Saturday to meet Bedessee Destroyers on Memorial Day. In between the T20 fanfare Panthers won over Middlesex in the Brooklyn League 40 over tournament. On Sunday Panthers batted first at Marine Park scoring a 123 of 26.2 overs. Ulfat Shahzad was the main contributor scoring 49 as Middlesex offspinners Joseph Ledwridge and Claymont Rose pegged the Panthers batting with career best 5 for 18 off 5 over, and 6-1-15-3 respectively. In reply Middlesex fell to their first defeat of the season falling 44 runs short scoring 79 with Andre Kirton 25 and Alston Bacchus 22. Nousherwan Adil ripped through the opponents with a potent 4-2-2-4.
Panthers again batting first on Monday this time in BB T20 struck 158 for 6 from the allotted 20 over with Ulfat Shahzad again leading the way with an unbeaten 61 he was supported by Shahbaz with 41 and Boxer 21. Bowling for Destroyers, Adam Sanford had 2 for 20, Keon Lake 2 for 37 and Andre Kirton 2 for 39. In reply Bedessee failed to get over the line ending on 142 for 6 only Romeno Deane 26*, Nicholas Stanford 23 and Kaveshwar Bridgepaul 23 with respectable cameos. N. Adil was again on the ball with 2 for 51, and brother Bilal 2 for 21 to restrict the opponents. Panthers now move on to play Golden Duck in BB T20 final on June 2nd at 8:30 am at Marine Park.
Treat Travel enjoyed a pedestrian day in the BCL as they won by default against newcomers Sheffield, who failed to show for their fixture scheduled for May 27, in what can be dubbed a dose of miscommunication. The battle for Brooklyn continues on June 2:
