The New York Cricket League is now back at the new and improved parade grounds at Van Cortlandt Park.

After a hiatus of three (3) years this League that has been a staple in the Bronx is now actively recruiting team to reform the League. We have now inherited state of the art cricket pitches and are ready to go. Applications are now been accepted and the necessary slots are being filled up quickly. We are looking for ten (10) competitive teams. If you enjoy playing all your games at one facility then this is the place for you.  All our games are played at VCP and there are lots of parking available. Transporting matting will not be a problem – special bin will be constructed for feasibility.

Schedules are in the process of being prepared for the coming 2013.  Three different types of competitions would be played for during the session running from May through September. Competitions include League 40 overs, 30 overs Knockout and the Twenty20 plus the Champion of Champion Trophy. Entrance fee for the cricket season is inexpensive and this includes the registration of 15 players.

This league is one of the three leagues in the New York Region that is compliant with the USACA compliance reviews and will be participating in the Boroughs President’s Cup (formerly Mayor’s Cup) the Interleague and the newly created Champion of Champion Cup under the auspices of the New York Cricket Region.

The cricket grounds will officially be opened on Sunday May 4th.  Come celebrate with us.   Be a part of Cricket’s historical 99 years in Van Cortland Park.
