Liberty SC will face newcomers Galaxy in third round of the EACA Power 40 competition.  Liberty will be brimming with confidence following wins in the two rounds to date.  Galaxy wont be offering many freebies if any as they have showed that they belong, with win in Round I and a narrow defeat in Round II to  Richmond Hill CC.

Round II saw Big Apple open its campaign with a commanding 10 wicket win over Phantoms. Batting first Phantoms were restricted to 76, with only V Murali getting to double figures. Seamer Telston Johnson was in ruthless form with 8-2-12-4, as he had Hemendra Ramdihall for support with 4-0-6-3. For Big Apple openers Francis Mendonca 41and Rex Ramoutar 20 made light work of the target with 12 overs.

MMZ were much of the same vein from the first round as they routed NY Centurion for 68 in 16.3 overs. The new ball pair of Amarnauth Persaud and Rocky Kowchai accounting for the early inroads with 7-1-12-3 and 6-1-18-2 respectively. Richie Sieuchan following up his 196 not out with an unbeaten 53 to complete a nine wicket victory in 10.4 overs.

Hillside scored 296/9 with Z Khan stroking an unbeaten 139 showing no mercy to Long island United. Bowling for LIUCC B Jalal has 4/60, A Khan 2/38 and A Ariz 2/50. LIUCC were never in the hunt as the could only manage 115, B Zia 34 and A Alvi 26 offering little resistance. For Hillside the wickets were shared with R Latcha and K Ramlakhan 2/19 each and G Mangal 2/20.

Following a convincing win on opening day Camelot with struck from orbit by Arsenal. Arsenal posted 242/5  with A Ali 96 and L Chaudhry 71. I Chin ran out of partners as he finished unbeaten on 40, Camelot 136 all out in 35 overs to lose by 106 runs. A Chaudhry 3/32, L Chaudhry 2/17 and R Shahid 2/21 completed the route for Arsenal.

ACS Everest will have to wait till the third round to get into the action, as their second round fixture was unplayable due to a waterlogged outfield.
