Richmond Hill C.C. continued its stellar season at top of Division I with a walk in the park over Hillside S.C. . Hillside batting first found themselves in all sorts of trouble as Richmond Hill captain Shameer Sadloo spun his web. Only Harry Heeralall 49, Syed Allie 28 and Zamal Khan 20 managed double digit scores for Hillside. Shameer’ 5/16 alongside Sudesh Dhaniram 2/12 and Kumar Nandalall 8-4-14-1 restricted Hillside to 137 in 34.2 overs. Veteran openers Debo Sankar 64* and Zaheer Sadloo 51 provided the platform for a convincing nine wicket win. Richmond Hill stay five points clear of their nearest challengers Big Apple.

Following an off-day last round Meten-Meer-Zorg (MMZ) returned to action against fierce rivals Atlantis. Batting first MMZ without leading run-scorer Richie Sieuchan, were limp as they could only post 194 in 35.3 overs. Skipper Azurdeen Mohammed lead the way with 59, he was supported by Amarnauth Persaud 31, Rocky Kowchai 27 and Rawle Hoyte 24. Atlantis made consistent inroads avioding the development of any sizeable partnerships. Hugh Craig 3/46 was the pick of the bowlers, as five other bowlers had a wicket each. One way traffic continued till the end of the match as Nicholas Stanford 75 and Alex Amsterdam 53* combined to lead their side to a comfortable seven wicket win. Henderson Blade continued his good nick this season with a cameo of 36.

Camelot looked put in an improved performance following their drubbing at the hands of the leads. The result was much of the same as they faces American Cricket Society (ACS). Camelot looking to avoid another batting record, batted first only to succumb to the bowling brother of Saheed and Zamin Amin. Just three batsmen managed double figures as extras topscored with 43. Saheed 3/19 and Zamin 3/20 restricted Camelot to 103 in 27. overs. ACS were elated to recover of the Arsenal shock as they complete a comprehensive nine wicket win. Aun Merchant 53 and Tamesh Balwant 37 both remained unbeaten to reignite ACS’ top four campaign.

Big Apple moved into second with their win over Liberty. Atlantis are third, followed by MMZ, ACS and Arsenal are the main contenders. The table is complete by Hillside, Galaxy, Camelot and Liberty the outsiders in the race to the EACA Power 40 crown.
