Unbeaten Panthers Top Brooklyn

By Dyon Ravello

Panthers maintained their perfect record this term when they defeated Wanderers at Marine Park on June 17th. Panthers victory coupled with Middlesex losing to Travel Treat allowed Panthers to ascend to number one on the standings. Middlesex fell to third following their defeat as Travel Travel move up to second. Sheffield hold fourth despite inactivity as Cavaliers jumped to fifth following a victory over the lowly Diplomats. Imperial are sixth they too enjoyed the weekend off.  Diplomats, Wanderers and Queensbury complete the standings all with a solitary win each.

This weekend Sheffield will attempt to blemish the Panthers and their flawless run, when they meet on Saturday, June 23rd. Other matches on Saturday see Queensbury entertain Cavaliers and Imperial tackle Travel Treat.  Sheffield continue the quest for glory on Sunday when the face Queensbury as Panthers play Cavaliers. Diplomats search for a life line when they meet Travel Treat as Wanderers look for a repeat in fortune against Imperial, their sole victory to date.
