The USA Cricket Association has selected a 15 man Squad for tours to Jamaica and Malaysia. The party will travel to Jamaica as preparation for there World Division 4 tournament in Malaysia from September 3rd through 10th. The squad sees the return of some seasoned faces who missed the trip to Dubai earlier this year, they include former captain Steve Massiah, Akeem Dodson, Ryan Corns and Rashaad Marshall. The core of the unit has been retained with Azurdeen Mohammed and Steven Taylor among the youthful bunch looking to cement their places.
The squad leaves on August 16th for Jamaica before making their way to the Asian continent. In Malaysia, Team USA will contest five group matches against, Denmark, Nepal, Singapore, Tanzania and the host Malaysia. The top two team will advance to Division three to be contested in 2013, whereas the bottom two will be demoted to division five. Team USA will be keen to take advantage of their energetic youthful talent as well as the experienced core as they attempt to move up the rank of world cricket. Since the 2004 appearance at the ICC Champions
Trophy, USA and not feature in ICC Division One. Since then the like of Afghanistan, Ireland, Netherlands and Scotland have been making the headlines outside of the Test Teams.
