New York Cricket Region will be continuing its Youth Trial Series when the Under-18 selection tackle the vulnerable Under-21 squad. Game time is scheduled for Saturday, August 11th from 8 am till 11:30 am at Baisley Pond Cricket Park. Players are asked to be ready to play at 7:45. The U-18 squad go into this encounter with their tales up after a convince win over the Altantic Region. Amarnauth Persaud’s men will be well aware that their senior mates will be keen to rectify the lost on Saturday past, when Atlantic took the main event in U-21 play.
Both teams see changes with former US youth batsman Regis Burton, pacer Rocky Kowchai, and middle order batsman Az Cheema the members of the U-21 selection who missed out last weekend. Notable absentees are Trinson Carmichael who was the pick of the bowlers last time out, and former youth captain Gregory Sewdial. For the U-18 selection Rafique Nazeer and Travis Ross return from a triumphant trip to Canada. As Hansraj Dhanraj, Kamran Hussain, Vishavjeet Pathania Singh, Clifford Hamilton and Mohib Tariq complete the list. Missing from the winning selection are, Chris Singh, Bilal Khan, Ayaz Mohammed, Waqas Shah, and Tanveer Khan .
