American Cricket League (ACL) will open its 2013 seaon on May 4th. Seventeen teams will contest three competitions, namely the League 40 Over, 35 Over Knockout and T20 KO. The ACL which boast of the New York’s best cricket grounds welcomes the Brooklyn five of Jazba, Warriors, Challengers, Punjab and Pak Kashmir. The league is complemented by Cambridge, Kingsgrove, Queens United, Somerset, Kings XI, Pakistan, Arsdley, Casablanca, Melbourne NY Alliance, West Indian, MVP’s, and Victorian.
Following an untimely end to the 2012 season ACL expects its best season yet. For the League 40 teams are grouped into two zones of nine and eight teams respectively. The top four from each zone will advance to the playoffs to contest quarterfinals for berth in the semifinal and finals. Action commences with matches on Saturday and Sunday from 1pm.
