The fifth round was fan-filled in the EACA as NY Centurion notched their second win in as many matches. This time they were punching in their own weight bracket rather dislodging one of the Big Five, in Big Apple. Centurion’s win has drawn them level on points with Big Apple, 12. As for Big Apple they will have their work cut out for them this weekend when the meet Hillside on June 16th.

Like Big Apple, Hillside will be going for the kill after having lost pole position to Meten-Meer-Zorg (MMZ). MMZ scored 183/8 on the back of 50 from Deonauth Baksh and Amarnauth Persaud 36. Hillside did not only fall short in being routed for 61, so too surrendered  Zone I’s top spot. Rocky Kowchai was the main destroyer with 4/15. Arsenal kept pace as they shot out Phantom to move to 12 points. With Camelot joining the party, victorious over Falcons to move into the sixth round with 12 points as well.

In Zone II Atlantis recovered from their fourth round lost to Richmond Hill to inflict Liberty’s first defeat of the season. Liberty posted 181/9 with Andy Harricharran scoring 52 and Altaf Habibulla unbeaten on 42. Atlantis survived a three strike blitz from Habibulla to complete the victory in the 28th over. US batsman Nicholas Stanford with 83 took the game away from the Blues.  ACS Everest recorded their second win, over Galaxy to move to third.

Enmore whipped Victory for their first win this season. Enmore thumped 318/1 with Michael Noble getting 119. Victory were keen to avoid embarrassment as they replied with 180. Noble was in the action again with 5/28 along with Charlton Senior 4/45. All Stars too posted win number one of the season overcoming Eastside Warriors.
