The prestigious EACA Power 40 competition continued with On Sunday June 23rd when a script that actually when to plan. Unlike the past rounds there with no surprises with the favorites complete and 8-0 sweep. In the match of the week Liberty held Richmond Hill up until the first half restricting them to 204. Shameer Sadloo 38, Deryck Mc Donald 30 and Zaheer Sadloo 24 steered off the Blue Nation pressure. Marlon Persaud was again a handful with the ball with 4/35, Terrence Madramootoo was as impressive with 2/8 and Altaf Habibulla 2/30. Richmond Hill, keen to maintain there unbeaten record blew out the feisty youth with only captain Danesh Deonarain and Habibulla offering any resistance with 33 each. Veteran spinner Ramphal Bactowar was the “Wrecker-in-Chief” with 5/30 and Sudesh Dhaniran 3/15. Liberty 110 all out incurring their second blemish on the season as the face the formidable American Cricket Society(ACS) this coming weekend.
ACS recovered from their falter against Richmond Hill with an imposing 114 run win over Victory. ACS posted 277/7 with captain and US National Karan Ganesh leading the way with 124 he had support from Dwayne Smith 43. Asked to scored at almost seven runs an over Victory resorted to damage control as they were bowled out for 163 in 38.1 overs. N Singh 46 and J Patel 31 resisted the carnage to response with a respectable total. For ACS veterans Zamin Amin and 3/39 and his brother Saheed 2/24 along with leg spinner Dwayne Smith 2/11 completed the win. Victory remain win-less to date with Atlantis and Richmond Hill two mountains face.
Galaxy were able to pull off their second win of the season after five rounds. Galaxy 319/7 Y Bissnauth 78, T Dhanraj 53 and R Nazeer 37. Allstars 169 in 38.4 A Rambaran 32 and J Hussain 31. Dhanraj 2/18, M Balgobin 2/28 and Y Bissanuth 2/30.
Enmore notch the second win in as many matches. Enmore 264/8, S Mohammed 64, S Ally 52 and Charlton Senior 30 not out, A Murtaza and S rafique had two wickets each. Eastside Warriors 179 in 37 overs Rafique 73 and A Ihsan 31, M Montana 3/18 and N Joseph 2/32
