Bangladesh and Zimbabwe will contest six associate nations for two spots to the main draw. Ireland, Scotland, Netherlands, Oman, Afghanistan and Hong Kong have all qualified from the global qualifiers. The eight teams are grouped as follows:-

Group A: Bangladesh, Ireland, Netherlands, Oman

Group B: Afghanistan, Hong Kong, Scotland, Zimbabwe

The winner of Group A will play in alongside, India, Pakistan, Australia and New Zealand. While the winner of Group B will play Sri Lanka, South Africa, England and West Indies
