1. High Performance Camps

2. Events – Regional National and International

3. Schools and colleges affiliation for the game

4. International Development tours

5. Youth League

The USA Global Cricket Academy (USAGCA) Management team: Ashok Patel (President and Founder), Rahul Sharma (Vice President Global Operations / CEO) D.V Ravi Director -Strategy and Global Operation, Jatin Patel (Global Development Manager) Apurva Desai, Consultant Level -C coach NCA (BCCI), David Sentance (Director PR & Communication ), Kaushal Vyas ( Event Manager & Coordinator)

David Sentance has played cricket on five continents based in Los Angeles, California, the last forty years. Starting in Kenya for Impala Cricket Club and Nairobi Schools, he played for the King’s School, Grantham first X1 and Grantham CC before moving to the US. Surprised to find cricket played in Los Angeles, Sentance played for UCLA and toured England with the University Cricket Club in 1976. By 1990, having captained the Victoria CC in the Southern California Cricket Association and co-founded and captained the World’s first Homeless Cricket team-the Los Angeles Krickets in 1995, David Sentance became SCCA Treasurer in 1996 and USA Women’s team selector in 2009. The US Women defeated Brazil and Argentina. The women’s team development was the culmination of the Los Angeles schools program in 1996.

In 1999 David met Ashok Patel in New Jersey when he travelled with California players to the USACA under 13 trials held at the US Cricket Academy. The California Schools program lasted three years before re-defining itself as an inner-cities Schools program in Watts at the Sheenaway School. New cricket coaching techniques were pioneered in Watts with the help of several LA Krickets participants including Leo Magnus, Mustafa Khan, Mark Azeez and Stephen Speak. David Sentance wrote about the experience in Cricket in America 1710-2000 ( McFarland,N.Carolina:2006). Lloyd Jodah, the founder of American College Cricket, has noted the book as one of the sources of inspiration for founding his college program.

In 2000 cricket changed in the United States as large numbers of young IT engineers (digirati) from India brought a renewed passion for cricket to America with them. Consequently, cricket soft-ball mid-week leagues sprang up in Southern California in locations such as Simi Valley and Westchester, which fielded teams from Farmers Insurance and Direct TV. In New Jersey a similar story could be told for the Indian community that settled post-2000 around Edison. Cricket academies sprung up to cater to the needs of “serious cricketers.” Additionally, as Indian students were drawn to America for education, the American College Cricket movement began in 2009 on Lloyd Jodah’s initiative, to provide a competitive format for over 70 college teams. Asked to join the American College Cricket in an advisory capacity, David also joined the ACC broadcast team offering a unique American perspective based on eight years of primary research in the US. Matches between colleges proved so popular investors funded cricket culminating in an ESPN2 broadcast of American College Cricket finals live from Broward Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in 2013. Joining the broadcast team with Lloyd Jodah and Jamie Lloyd, David has helped to expand the market for cricket in the United States. Having worked in executive capacity for the British-American Chamber of Commerce, the SCCA, the Los Angeles Krickets, President of the Southern Junior Cricket Program and ACC board member.

WI 4-Day Team of Round 6

West Indian Professional Cricket League Round 6

KraiggKraigg Brathwaite scored 117 versus the Windward Islands Volcanoes this past weekend continuing his fine form with has extended from the Test tour of Australia, through the NAGICO Super 50 tournament. Brathwaite is currently the one stable opener for the West Indian Test side and is keen to maintain his position when the visiting Indians arrive. Brathwaite is sixth on the run chart from only three matches.

Kirk Edwards scored 93 in vain against Leeward Island Volcanoes as he looks to resurrect his international career. With many of the fringes Edwards will have to continue to push on even if he is to be considered.

Shai Hope scored 162 for Barbados Pride also against the Volcanoes in a confident boosting knock. Hope as struggled at the top level of cricket, but if he continues in this vain he should be able to break in the squad for the India tour. Hope this the tenth best run scorer to date from half the number of matches.

Vishaul Singh scored his third century of the WIPCL season, and that is more centuries than any other batsmen this season. His 104 against Trinidad and Tobago Red Force will certainly keep him in the mind of the selection panel as he is the leading run scorer this season.

Leon Johnson is the fourth top run scorers this season, thanks to his unbeaten 111 versus the Red Force. Johnson who has moderate return at the Test level, will be keen to push on and complete for places during the India Tour.

Jamar Hamilton scored an unbeaten 130 to lead the Volcanoes to their first winner this season. It was Hamilton’s third first class hundred.

Rahkeem Cornwall took 12 wickets in Volcanoes’ win of the Scorpions. Cornwall is third on the wicket taking charts with 29 scalps.

Nikita Miller is the leading wicket taker this season with 41 wickets. Even though he picked up eight wickets against the volcanoes it was not enough to save the Jamaica Scorpions from defeat.

Veerasammy Permaul is the fifth best wicket taker this season and scalped 9 wickets versus the Red Force to earn him a place on the team of the week. Permaul has 26 wickets the season in an extremely competitive pool of spinner.

Damion Jacobs is ninth on the wicket taking list but his eight wickets against the Volcanoes could no spare his side from defeat.

Miguel Cummins took eight wickets again the Volcanoes and is the only quick to pick up more that five wicket this round. Cummins did not play in Australia but is the leading wicket taker for Fast bowlers with 24 wickets compared to the league high of 41.

Best WI U-19 To Date At World Cup

Possible CPL Teams They May Go To

Alzarri

Alzarri Joseph, West Indies U-19 (c) cricinfo

Alzarri Joseph has been the leader of the bowling attack for the West Indies U-19 at the world cup, hitting 140 kmph plus. Joseph has also led the bowling for the Leeward Islands Hurricanes in the PCL first class tournament. Earmarked as one for the future he should certainly be a telling addition for his local franchise St Kitts and Nevis Patriots.

Gidron Pope like Joseph has First Class experience, with Windward Islands Volcanoes. Pope has been instrumental for the young Windies at the top of the order in Bangladesh. Additionally he is a handy off spinner who can take wickets. Pope should be able to add to the formidable batting prospects of the St Lucia Zouks.

Chemar Holder was a late addition to the young Windies squad. Arriving only in time for the Quarterfinals, Holder made an immediate impact with his 140 kmph plus pace. Holder complements Joseph and is also dubbed to be one of the few quicks in the cupboard. Holder also had a successful Nagico Super 50 tournament for CCC Marooners and is no stranger to the regional circuit. Jamaica Tallawahs would be an ideal destination.

Jyd Goolie may not be the superstar mold as those mentioned before. Yet he has been consistent in his performance with his off spin bowling and contributions with he bat. Goolie should do well with the newly branded Trinbago Knight Riders.

Shimron Heytmer has led a sleeping giant to the final of the U-19 world cup. Heytmer has been low on runs but score them when they mattered most in the Semifinal win over the host. Heytmer is yet another of the lot who has braced the First Class circuit. He would do well to join local franchise Guyana Amazon Warriors

Shamar Springer has scored the only century to date for a West Indian at the premier youth tournament. Springer is the leading run scorer at the tournament and is also a handy back up pacer. Springer should be a compelling addition for his home franchise Barbados Tridents
